== David Jenkins ==

Just a bit of Chaos Dad keeping twitter busy today. Live well crew, and "serve cunt in a way that promotes diversity, equity, and inclusion".

== Rhys Darby ==

Today, Rhys posted a picture of his character Glenjamin from Guns Akimbo.

In addition, he also posted a preview of The Cryptid Factor's new episode that should be hitting Patreon soon!

== Taika Waititi ==

Today was a big day for Taika, both What We Do In the Shadows, and Reservation Dogs got nominated for 8 Emmy's between them. Of course, he was butthurt over being buttsnubbed, but we all know what that's really about.
What I loved was seeing was Samba, and Cohen aka Pop Pop sending some love Taika's way.

In addition, Taika shared a tweet on his Instagram that brought to his attention...you can read more in the article below as well.

== Nathan Foad ==

Just some adorable shots of Nathan out at the beach. Is that how you got the sunburn sir? Hope you're feeling better!

== Vico Ortiz ==

Vico added another short, but sweet, OFMD S2 BTS on their Patreon!  I took a screenshot of Frenchie for the sneakpeek because he looks so damn cool - if you're not already a subscriber, there's lots and lots of BTS on there, definitely worth the monthly fee at least once.

== Madeleine Sami ==

A new sighting of our beloved Archie, Madeleine Sami, while she was out directing Episode 4 of the Madam TV Series!

== Minnie Driver ==

More Minnie as Elizabeth I in S2 of The Serpent Queen -- available on Starz!

== Dominic Burgess ==

Some more good news -- Dominic's new show Palm Royale was one of the Comedy Series recognized by the Emmy's today!

== Emmy Nominations ==

Not as good of news-- OFMD was not recognized for any Emmy Nominations. However, many other queer and underrepresented groups did get nominated! You can check them out on TV Insider, below.

Our friends over at @adoptourcrew sent out a lovely message to remind us that it isn't all about glory, but belonging to something-- thanks for always sending out the love friends!

== Gold Derby Reminders ==

With the Emmy Noms announced, now it's time to double our efforts on other award nominations! Our darling @adoptourcrew put together these lovely graphics for the Gold Derby nominations!

== International Drag Day ==

Yesterday, 07/16/2024 was International Drag Day! The 'Feminist' digital platform put together a beautiful set of infographics to celebrate the day-- and it featured someone you might recognise, Vico Suave!
Since drag has always been a force for activism, they offered some suggestions in how to support your local Drag scene!

"TAKE ACTION 💥

== Love Notes ==

Hey there lovelies. Today was a day, huh? Some good news, some bad news, it was just all over the place. I know even with some good news though, a lot of folks were disappointed by the Emmy Noms falling through regarding OFMD.

I mentioned it on twitter, but I did also want to gently remind those not there, that it may be disappointing, but you all made a big difference even without an official Emmy Nomination.

There was so much campaigning to get OFMD, Rhys, Taika, Con, Ruibo, Leslie, and all the rest of the cast & crew recognition, and even if the Emmy's didn't decide to recognize them, YOU did.

The cast and crew saw how much you wanted those nominations for them. I don't know if you remember, but so many of them (Con, Ruibo, Samba, etc) shared the FYC graphics on Instagram! They were so excited and for several weeks the internet buzzed with OFMD FYCs.

Please remember that even the little things you do when you show love can make such huge impacts. The cast and crew of OFMD are never short on evidence that their art, their work, made a difference in so many people's lives.

Your love is transformative. It is the catalyst to so many different paths that may never have been ther if it were not for your kindness. To be recognised by the Emmys is surely an honor, but to be recognised by YOU, by each and every one of YOU, as a show that made such a profound and positive impact on so many lives -- is more powerful than any awards show.

Every time you go to a convention and tell them how much the show meant to you...

Every time you leave a nice comment on their socials about their new work...

Every time you celebrate a Murray Monday, or a Taika Tuesday or a Frenchie Friday...

Every Time you participate in a donation drive...or a prompt week...

Or every time you just flat out be kind to someone because this show made you feel alive again---

You are recognising them and spreading the love that manifested itself through the hard work of so many beloved members of the cast & crew.

You are perpetuating their message of love, and kindness, and redemption, and found family-- and just like how OFMD makes this world a better place, so too, do you.

There is so much power in your kindness and love, and you made it very clear to all of them that they matter. Well done lovelies, you really are wonderful, remember that.
